We are looking to hire Manufacturing Quality Senior Manager to execute projects focused on product and process quality improvement. This individual will provide total quality ownership over an assigned subsystem, product and/or area and its related manufacturing operations. The role is responsible for working cross-functionally to execute the overall goal for reducing the cost of poor quality associated with plant operations and product performance post-sale.

How You'll Create Possibilities
  • Collaborate with the product line Systems Engineering Team to understand and respond to part or system product level performance issues impacting owner use and satisfaction. Support response to this data in addition to internal data streams (leading indicators) for product quality and reliability (Engineering, EOLA and CAT / CUT labs).
  • Promote a culture that establishes, sustains and improves product quality through engineering problem-solving and discipline around supporting systems. Promote a method-based quick response to new issues.
  • Own attributes of the Manufacturing Control Plan for focused areas. Responsible for the improvement of the Manufacturing Quality Control Plan.
  • Responsible for delivery of projects tied to the overall factory (FPY, EOLA, Scrap) and product line financial plan (Warranty, Damage, Concessions, Scrap, Consumer Education). Identifies and completes projects and tasks supporting this effort. Own and delegates tasks and establishes accountability at the appropriate level.
  • Identify and execute projects to improve the costing of operations, focused owner for Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA), Corrective Action Request (CAR) approach to problem-solving.
  • Respond to abnormalities in product and component testing and performance results (Lab testing and Owner Experience). Connect projects to impact on Owner and related Financials (PQR, Warranty).
  • Provide technical leadership to drive the development, sustainment and continuous improvement of factory quality measurement systems including gaging and testing equipment.
  • Assist in providing guidance to the broad New Product Introduction (NPI) team regarding manufacturing process capabilities for application to new designs, processes, or geometries.
  • Lead projects through the change control process – supporting the efficient and reliable delivery and processing of materials from controlled processes. This includes risk mitigation associated with change to material, equipment and process.
  • Support analysis of data as part of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and implementation of responses as required by MCI/MCP. Escalate and measure response to data trends. Validate root cause response for effectiveness.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
  • Bachelor's degree in quality engineering preferred.
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%) to suppliers and other manufacturing locations and supporting the off shift may be required.
  • 7+ years of experience in Quality focused on providing operational support to assembly operations in a manufacturing environment.
