JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities associated with the role of Manager of Manufacturing Operations (PPD Focus) are listed as follows.

o Oversight of cross-functional process team including management of workload through visual management practices
o Ensuring/Maintaining inspection readiness for the production system/facility
o Managing relationships with internal/external customers and suppliers

o Review & approval of quality system documentation
o Management of key risks and prioritization & oversight of continuous improvement efforts

JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibilities associated with the role of Manager of Manufacturing Operations (PPD Focus) are listed as follows.
- System owner responsibilities for the PPD Production system per the essential functions listed below
- Workforce management and development of direct reports within the Manufacturing Operations function (both salaried and hourly personnel)
- Train and familiarize with the Bulk and ILP Integrated Process Teams to serve as a backup lead to these operations.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining a safe work environment through the application of our behavior-based safety and 6S+ programs
- Workforce scheduling and planning relative to product flow, facility utilization and project/quality system work
- Performance Management: routine 1-1’s, mid-year assessments, and year-end evaluations
- Align departmental vision to site strategy and manage the implementation of strategic changes within the manufacturing function
- Personnel Development: individual development plans centered on behavioral and leadership competencies
- Annual departmental goal setting
- Personal Development: development against core leadership competencies through your individual development plan
- Establishing & maintaining employee/team engagement
- Review and management of monthly departmental spend within budget
- Strong collaboration skills within cross-functional/matrixed team environment
- Effective meeting facilitation
- Ensuring accountability (Behaviors, Performance, etc.)
- Driving workforce engagement
- Promoting a healthy work environment (i.e. safe, empowered, learning oriented, focused on continuous improvement)
- Managing conflict/conflict resolution
- Strong risk management skills (identification, mitigation, elevation, etc.)
- Experience with complex, cross-functional project planning and execution
- Quality System experience (i.e. Deviations – root cause investigations, CAPA, Change Control)
- Building effective teams
- Building trust and rapport with the workforce
- Owner of PPD Production
- Experience with regulatory submissions particularly process and or facility/equipment improvements
- Coaching/teaching/mentoring – modeling the desired behaviors/competencies within function and teams
- Understands and applies a broad range of financial management principles to ensure decisions are fiscally responsible

MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
- Demonstrated experience with teaching/coaching of direct reports in a technical and leadership environment
- Strong communication skills: oral/written and listening
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a cGMP manufacturing environment with knowledge CFR requirements
- Personal Competencies: Self-awareness, Integrity, Team player, Continuous Learner
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering related field (i.e. life sciences, chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, etc.)
- A minimum of three (3) years of supervisory responsibility required in an industry related environment (preferred)
