About the Role

The selected candidate will manage our Revenue, Billing and Accounts Receivable daily workflows in our high-volume environment, plan and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and strengthen controls, and provide guidance, training and feedback to staff. manage full billing, cash receipt application, AR, and collections process, supervise revenue, cash application and accounts receivable staff, review and approve invoices, and prepare and analyze revenue and accounts receivable schedules monthly and quarterly for upper management and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ad-hoc duties and as requested by Director of Revenue.
• Cross-functional collaboration with operations, FP&A and accounting to ensure business needs are being met.
• Manage billing systems and master data; drive the maximum utilization of system capabilities for invoicing, collections, accounting and reporting.
• Ensure accurate onboarding and compliance with all revenue contracts.
• Provide feedback to staff for continued career development.
• Oversee, improve and automate the cash application process involving multiple banks and a mix of check and EFT payments.
• Manage the end to end operations of gathering and validating data, accurate and timely invoicing, cash applications, new customer onboarding, contract and customer maintenance, collections and accounts receivable reporting.
• Integrate new projects, customers and portfolio acquisitions into billing systems and processes.
• Ensure collection of receivables and avoid any aging of invoices, maintain customer relations and oversee customer account reconciliations and disputes.
• Develop and improve processes to create a more streamlined approach, provide testing and approval of upgrades and new platforms.
• Ensure a SOX compliant environment is being maintained through control design, proper reviews, segregations of duties, and delegation of authority; provide requested documentation to internal and external auditors.

Knowledge and Experience Required

• Detail orientated with a good work ethic
• Must have ERP and billing software experience; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience a plus
• Must possess mental agility to be able to diagnose and troubleshoot problems is a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Minimum 7+ years of related experience, including supervisory experience
• BS degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance related fields, renewable energy a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must have an in-depth knowledge of SOX requirements and internal control best practices.
• High attention to detail
• Must possess the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced quickly-growing environment
