Accounts Receivable Coordinator
The Role:
Veronica Beard is looking for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our Finance team! The Accounts Receivable Coordinator is responsible for coordinating credit, cash application, and collection activities. This role is based in our New York office and reports directly to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Post daily deposits to client accounts, properly applying to outstanding invoices and offsets
- Organize and maintain relevant accounting details and files
- Conduct collection calls and e-mails, to consistently follow up with aged accounts
- Provide coverage for team members as needed
- Post invoices daily; investigate and resolve billing issues
- Process and e-mail customer statements
- Manage prepaid accounts to ensure timely payments and subsequent shipments
- Reconcile, resolve, and dispute customer chargebacks as needed
- Work with complementary business functions such as sales and logistics
Requirements:
- Experience with major department stores a plus
- Proficiency with MS-Office specifically MS Excel, including pivot tables and vlookup
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain positive internal and external working relationships
- Accounting and/or Accounts Receivable experience strongly preferred, up to 3 years
- Strong analytical skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and goal-oriented (self-directed, proactive, and able to define and execute projects independently)
The base salary range for this role is between $50,000 and $60,000. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. The base salary is just one component of our total compensation offerings, which consist of a comprehensive benefits package as well as a short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts.
