JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for various aspects of accounts receivable and cash management. Reconcile accounts and assist with month end close. Review transactions for appropriate General Ledger allocation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Review the A/R Aging for past due balances, misapplied payments/credits and posting errors.
- Write up check refund forms for management approval and then submit to Purchasing.
- Reconcile and correct sales exception reports where U.S. and Canadian customers or orders have invalid city, state and zip code combinations.
- Process customer RMA’s.
- Process warranty returns and corresponding store credits.
- Process miscellaneous credits and debits as issued by A/R Manager.
- Prepare the Allowance for Bad Debt schedule at month end.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts receivable and basic / entry level bookkeeping skills.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Understanding of elementary financial accounting principles and financial statements.
- Advanced computer skills with MS-Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
- Professional interpersonal and telephone skills required.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
- Ability to use 10-Key calculator by touch.
- Ability to read, understand and retain working knowledge of procedures and company documents.
Target Market Salary Range:
Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs. The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, medical/dental/vision benefits, 401K match, and/or other applicable compensation plans.
