Overview
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Social Media and Content, the Manager of Social Media and TikTok will be responsible for the management and growth of the organization's presence on TikTok: briefing engaging content, building a strong community, and driving brand awareness and engagement.
This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, particularly TikTok, and the ability to create compelling and viral content that resonates with target audiences.
The selected candidate will have strong organization and communication skills, an eye for digital content, and a passion for trends / internet culture.
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
  • Develop a content calendar and posting schedule to ensure regular and consistent content delivery.
  • Brief and oversee the development of engaging and viral content for the organization's social channels - with a focus on TikTok account - that aligns with the brand's voice and values in collaboration with marketing and creative.
  • Identify target audiences, key messages, and optimal social media channels to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Monitor TikTok trends, hashtags, and challenges to identify opportunities for content creation and engagement.
  • In partnership with the Senior Manager, Social Media and Content, oversee the daily maintenance of David Yurman’s 360 digital content calendar, asset management, supporting content ideation / research.
  • Community Building and Engagement:
  • Grow and nurture a strong and engaged community on TikTok by fostering two-way communication, responding to comments and messages, and building relationships with followers.
  • Cross-Channel Integration:
  • Social-Led 360 Digital Content Calendar:
  • Performance Tracking and Analysis:
  • In partnership with the Director of Communications and Social Media, source and collaborate with influencers / brand ambassadors to expand the organization's reach and engagement on TikTok.
  • Stay informed on new social media channels as they develop and gain traction, sharing insights with Senior Manager, Social Media and Content
  • Stay Updated with TikTok Trends and Features:
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and platform updates to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager, Social Media and Content to ensure an integrated approach to social media campaigns and content.
  • Content Ideation and Management:
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of TikTok content and campaigns, using key metrics and analytics tools.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, features, and best practices on TikTok.
  • Explore new creative formats, challenges, and strategies to keep the organization's TikTok content fresh, relevant, and engaging.
  • Social Media Strategy and Planning:
  • Identify high-performing content for paid boosting/whitelisting.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize content strategies and maximize engagement and reach on TikTok.
  • Provide regular reports and insights on TikTok performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive TikTok strategy, aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Align TikTok content with other social media platforms and marketing initiatives to maintain consistent brand messaging and visual identity.
Key Requirements
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • Passion for social media and staying updated with the latest industry trends and platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of TikTok's platform, algorithms, trends, and best practices.
  • Strong creative thinking and the ability to develop innovative content ideas.
  • Proven track record of creating engaging and viral content on TikTok.
  • Excellent understanding of social media analytics and the ability to derive insights for optimizing content strategies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using social media management tools, analytics platforms, and content creation apps.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • 4-5 years of experience in social media management, with a strong focus on TikTok.

Estimate Salary Range: $90,000 – 100,000
Base pay is one component of David Yurman’s total compensation package, which may also include the following for eligible employees: access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan, bonus, employee discounts, Summer Fridays (corporate roles), generous paid time off, sick time, and more.
