BEKHealth Corporation is a leading clinical technology company that operates an AI-powered patient-matching software platform serving the clinical trial industry. Our platform allows life sciences and healthcare organizations to speed up trial feasibility, site selection, and patient recruitment by extracting data from electronic medical records (EMRs), which includes structured and unstructured clinical data that captures three times more trial criteria. We specialize in providing software for patient population analysis, site feasibility and selection, study participant identification, and study participant matching to both site networks. We are seeking a talented and experienced CTO to lead our technology team and drive the development of our platform.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and high-achieving Manager of Research Services, Startup to manage the implementation of our AI-powered platform with new healthcare organizations (HCO). In this role, you will be responsible for managing the implementation with multiple concurrent HCO by coordinating internal and external cross-functional teams, while leveraging your understanding of electronic medical record (EMR) systems. You will manage and coordinate a cross-functional team of nurses, research leads, software engineers, QA, and data scientists to ensure on-time go-live and success. This position reports to the Director of Research Services - Startup.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure on time delivery from kick-off through to go-live
- Support team career development and growth opportunities
- Evaluate customer needs, identify key dependencies and blockers, propose solutions to customer requirements, and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Track and communicate progress and decisions clearly using BEK solutions (e.g., JIRA, Slack, etc.)
- Support the continuous improvement process throughout Research Services and BEKHealth as a whole
- Plan, manage, and monitor the onboarding and implementation of new HCO to the BEKHealth platform on time and to specifications
- Ensure compliance with BEK processes, data privacy standards, and project management methods
- Proactively coordinate internal and external cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, InfoSec, compliance, research, and healthcare delivery teams
- Support and maintain the integration with new EMR systems, including liaising with EMR interface teams, creating and maintaining EMR integration requirements, etc.
- Function as escalation point, triage issues, and ensure timely effective issue resolution
- Manage training plans and project documentation for client and BEK leadership
- Collaborate with our product team to provide feedback and input on product development and enhancements based on user feedback.
Requirements:
- Experience with clinical research and clinical trials is a plus
- 3+ years of professional experience with EMR data migration/extraction, healthcare consulting, healthcare technology, life sciences, real-world evidence, or healthcare provider practice/hospital
- Travel required
- Experience with protected health information (PHI) data a plus
- Experience with database analysis using Access, SQL or MongoDB is a plus
- Experience managing cross-functional teams in high-complexity environments a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Organized, problem solver, and loves interacting with diverse groups
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and analyzing patient data
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- License/certifications (e.g., RN) or advanced degree in a clinical/science discipline a plus (e.g., MPH, MS, etc.)
