Responsibilities:
DIGIT is seeking a Junior IT Asset Management Analyst to support full life-cycle ITAM services that align to the current ITIL-based framework. This role will contribute to recommendations and establishing an effective technology life-cycle that spans from IT asset selection, operation, refresh, migration, and optimization to the retirement and disposal of the asset. This is a remote position.

As a leading provider of advanced information technology solutions and professional services to U.S. federal government agencies, is the prime for a $807m task order in support of the General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Digital Infrastructure Technologies (IDT) DIGIT (Digital Innovation for GSA Infrastructure Technologies) task order driving digital transformation and delivering continuous improvement and business value to its customers. The team is comprised of the best-in-class technology partners to leverage forward-leaning technologies and best practices to transform GSA’s IT capabilities and shift offerings to provide a more flexible service delivery model, completing the agency’s shift to a fully digital experience along with its adoption of advanced, emerging technologies such as intelligent automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position shall perform the following (to include but not limited to) activities:

  • Identifies information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals
  • Escalate issues to vendor and third-party entities, as necessary and directed by the Government.
  • Assist in overseeing continual enforcement of IT Hardware/Software Asset Management processes, procedures, and controls for governing IT assets through the asset lifecycle.
  • Accountability for portions of cloud assets, billing, and optimization of impacted assets
  • Executes the tracking of IT purchase orders to increase IT Asset Management compliance and reporting accuracy.
  • Assists in the implementation of processes, procedures and systems for tracking and analyzing software from requisition through retirement.
  • Participates in enforcement of asset management policies with IT, procurement, finance, legal, audit and compliance groups, and other external vendors and auditors
  • Participates in the creation of software standards, software catalog updates, non-standard process exceptions and knowledge articles related to end user software products.
  • IT Hardware/Software Asset Management Analyst who will be primarily responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance across all hardware/software IT Assets within the organization including, but not limited to, tracking and monitoring of all events throughout the asset lifecycle from requisition, purchase, and receipt of an asset through to the retirement and proper disposal of the asset to include any installs, moves, adds, changes to the asset.
  • Assists in maintaining contractual compliance for both license count and allowed deployment/use to provide a risk based position on a variety of risk-based vendors (Microsoft, SAP, Autodesk, Oracle, Salesforce, etc).
  • Ensures the IT Asset Management repository data accuracy and promptly addresses process and data sources deficiencies and/or opportunities related to software assets and deployments.

CONTRACT REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

This following are REQUIRED for this position:

  • Proven ability to work independently in a full and/or partial remote environment with limited supervision and may supervise/lead others.
  • ITILv4 Foundation Training and ITILv4 Foundation Certification, may be obtained within 120 days after hire.
  • Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
  • Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.
  • Maintain standard working hours per the DIGIT contract and to be available for meetings, and other collaborative efforts during working hours.
  • Utilize hardware/software monitoring tools to assist refresh projects, by providing data to lower costs, optimize operations and refresh schedules.
  • Performs work that requires practical experience and training.
  • Work is performed under supervision.
  • Public Trust Clearance by start date.
  • Collaborate with procurement project managers to ensure all new assets are captured correctly and inputted into asset management system.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments with the ability to use practical experience and training to determine how to accomplish tasks.
  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments.


CONTRACT DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are DESIRED for this position:

  • Understanding of information systems concepts/design/development, systems development life cycle.
  • Working knowledge of finance planning and budget activities.
  • Must be willing to work a variety of shifts, including holidays as scheduled.
  • Intermediate to advanced reading skills and ability to perform mathematical calculations at the basic level.
  • ServiceNow experience, specifically integration and use of the Asset Modules (SAM Pro), License management, distribution, and reharvesting experience, SAP ECC, BPC, Ariba experience, CSAM.
  • Proficiency in the Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Meet, Docs, Slides, Sheets), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Slack, and ServiceNow.
  • Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written.
  • Advanced understanding of IT Asset Management processes and technologies.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

The following are the education and experience required for this position:

- 2 - 7 years of experience and bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in IT asset management tools.
- 1 - 2 years of experience utilizing monitoring tools for hardware and software.
  • Experience as a remote worker demonstrating time management and self discipline with cultural change management and Agile mindset.
