The Logistics Coordinator is a primary role in the Inventory and Operations teams.

The Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of Zimmer Biomet orthopedic medical devices as requested by our clients which are orthopedic surgeons and their teams. This position requires advanced tech skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Communication with internal and external components of our staff via text, e-mail and telephone to ensure surgery requisitions are submitted timely and accurately.
• Collaborate with departments across functions: supply chain, warehouse, and operations to fulfill orders.
• Follow directions closely and possess ownership/responsibility for tasks.
• Boxing, packing, labeling, shipping instruments, and using shipping programs as needed.
• Use Enterprise Resource Planning/Manufacturing Resource Planning software programs to loan, receive, ship, issue and monitor inventory. May also require coordination with shipping companies
• Responsible for the return of inventory in a timely manner.
• Fulfill surgery requests accurately and within time constraints.
• Check orders for completeness and make recommendations based on previous orders.
• Coordinate with staff to make sure surgery requisitions are submitted timely and accurately to ensure fulfillment and delivery of product.
• Always maintain the status of inventory with ability to provide updates.
• Develops and enhances product knowledge through training, webinars, learning modules, interaction and partnership with sales, marketing, sales training, med ed.

Expected Areas of Competence

• Potential on-call assistance may be necessary for emergency situations.
• Willing to be trained in multiple areas of this division and position.
• Technology is an important factor in this position.
• Organizational and time management skills are essential
• Demonstrated knowledge to identify Zimmer products by major product groupings and familiarity with product lines of other division.

Education/Experience Requirements

HS Diploma, G.E.D. equivalent, or equivalent experience required. (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Preferred.)

Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, Engineering, Inventory Control or other technical field preferred.

Travel Requirements

< 5% overnight
