As a Learning & Development Coordinator, your goal is to deliver an enriching experience to Team Members every day. You provide a warm welcome, safe and secure atmosphere for all team members interacting with the Learning & Development department. As a member of the Human Resources/L&D team, you live and share your passion for genuine hospitality in your commitment to enriching lives.Your primary role is to oversee the logistics of learning & development activities and to ensure that our team feels a sense of inspiration in the journey of learning new skills and competencies. The exceptional service provided at Sea Island should extend to the team members in each interaction that they have with us. Each learning participant will be treated with a warm welcome and meaningful connection to the purpose of Sea Island. Constant communication with the organization is required to create awareness and motivation toward completion of assigned learning & development activities. This position will provide crucial administrative support, as well as assist in the facilitation of training classes. In addition, this position may be involved with various projects and initiatives throughout the Human Resources Department.Your responsibilities include coordinating all class/program schedules, room assignments, materials, and communications for Sea Island University. This includes maintaining training records using the Learning Management System (LMS), tracking of training activity, and data entry including department budget. In addition, you will be involved in coordinating Sea Island University training curricula across all academies. This includes assisting the L&D team in designing and developing curriculum, researching, and recommending content, and building and maintaining relationships with vendors. You will be the face of the L&D room, managing the space, schedule and demands of the room. Your responsibilities include tracking inventory and ordering supplies as needed. You will also be the contact person for team members that need assistance with the various learning systems that are used at Sea Island. This will require you to become an expert of each system and have the willingness to assist/teach others as needed. This also includes taking on the administrative role for the LMS which involves building curriculums, tracking, and reporting. Your responsibilities also include being a back-up facilitator for key programs such as Traditions in Excellence, Service Excellence, etc. This position reports to the Director of Learning & Development. You set the tone by consistently upholding and ensuring compliance with departmental procedures, including standards for quality, timing, attendance, appearance. You follow and ensure all Sea Island safety protocols are consistently met. You maintain situational awareness of your surroundings, keeping an eye on all areas for tidiness and any general maintenance issues, ensuring that all are corrected or reported immediately. You enthusiastically maintain your knowledge of Sea Island’s properties, services, and offerings, and share this information with team members. You are generous with your support and help resolve any service issues that arise in a timely and positive way, following up as needed. You are proactive in providing assistance when needed and are willing to help with other areas or duties as requested.Job Requirements Successful training or experience with planning and logistics is essentialStrong Financial analysis is required to minimize company expensesStrong organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipmentEffectively establish efficiencies in all areas of training logisticsPositive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic attitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions and manage multiple competing tasks and demandsAbility to effectively facilitate presentations and classes when requiredAbility to kneel, crouch, squat, climb, stand, sit, balance, reach, stretch, bend, push, pull, and walkAbility to use independent judgement and problem solveExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalTwo years’ experience in administration, training, or related Human Resources experience preferred (Hospitality preferred)Bachelor’s Degree (in a hospitality-related field, Human Resources or Organizational Development, Communication, or Education) highly preferredBilingual is a plus
