Job Description
InSite Real Estate is a national commercial real estate development company based in Oak Brook, Illinois. InSite develops, owns, and operates tenant-driven investment property nationwide. Privately held since its 1988 formation, the company has completed over 600 industrial, office, and retail projects located in over 40 states ranging from 2,000 SF to 2.6 million SF in size, and $1 million to $250 million in value. We have an immediate need for a Junior Accountant within our Accounting Department.

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for providing support to the entire Accounting Department. The ideal candidate should have a high level of accuracy, excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist with cash management, accounts receivables and accounts payables
  • Examine lease and loan documents
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system including scanning and attaching respective documents in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury Management
  • Prepare and enter journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts and review financial statements
  • Perform special projects as requested by Senior Accountants and the Controller
  • Assist Development Team with compiling monthly construction draws
  • Work with Property Management team to resolve tenant billing and application issues
  • Support Accounting and Legal teams during acquisitions and dispositions
  • Prepare and enter check requests for invoices and online payments
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • On-Site in Oak Brook, IL.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • 0 to 3 years experience preferred
