Project Accountant Jobs

Global Business Services (GBS) Finance Operations records and reports on real estate transactions for over 2,000 franchisees and more than 15,000 restaurants in both the United States and Canada. We are responsible for the calculation and billing of rents and service fees, all lease related accounting activities, as well as construction project and fixed asset accounting processes. We provide lease and contract accounting services, and support U.S. and Canada market initiatives.

Based out of our headquarters in the West Loop of Chicago,GBS Finance Operations has an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant to develop an array of knowledge related to real estate accounting activities supporting both our U.S. and Canada markets.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring SOX and company policy compliance for various processes related to real estate accounting
• Participating and/or leading cross-functional projects
• Reviewing the accuracy of the trial balance and related sub-ledgers
• Supporting and managing construction project and fixed asset accounting processes related to new, relocation, rebuild, and reinvestment initiatives in the restaurants

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset
• Experience in leading and development of others
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus
• 3-5 years of qualifying accounting work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; CPA or MBA preferred
