Salary: $53,000 - $60,000

Under the direction of the Director of Accounting, the full-time Accountant provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements. Processes payroll and provides payroll back up for specific business units in a multi-company, multi-state environment. Will be exposed to all areas of the accounting department and will be the backup for many accounting functions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, and fixed assets, including amortization and depreciation.
• Assist with gathering and reconciling credit card expenses.
• Completes financial reports and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures (internal controls).
• Analyzes information and prepares supporting schedules by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
• Assist with year-end financial external audit.
• Process bi-weekly payroll to ensure accuracy and efficiency while maintaining appropriate historical records and ensuring all payroll tax remittance and reporting are properly filed.
• Assists department with additional duties as needed and assigned.
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required for access to pertinent systems, data, interaction with vendors and other personnel.
• Ensures compliance and adheres to multiple company policies relating to payment of wages and benefits.
• Compiles and analyzes financial information from multiple locations and sources to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.

Qualified Candidates will have:

• Good problem solving, communications, interpersonal, analytical, and time management skills required
• Advanced Excel working knowledge a plus
• 2-4 years of accounting experience is preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP / Accounting Standards Codification
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting a plus
