PMI Kyoto Packaging Systems is looking for an Accountant to join our team in our Elk Grove Village office!

PMI Kyoto Packaging Systems has been an industry leader in the packaging industry for over twenty years. We provide high end, custom machinery to a diverse, international clientele including many Fortune 500 companies. We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding company with great growth opportunity within our own staff. We take great pride in doing our manufacturing capabilities and we do all our assembly in-house.

Responsibilities:

• Cash receipts transactions of collections for parts, services, and warranties sales invoices.
• ACH payment preparation (for vendors and employee reimbursements)
• Invoicing for parts, services, and warranties sales orders
• Response to external auditors’ questions and requests regarding cash and deposits, payable matters, etc.
• Year-end closing
• Registration of parts, services, and warranties sales orders
• Provide details of employee reimbursement payments to employees
• Compilation of Inventory List
• Outgoing cash flow forecast update.
• Monthly closing
• New prepayment items registration and calculation of monthly allocation and entries
• Compilation of Job Cost Valuation Schedule (calculation of labor hours of each Job from database)
• Bank Reconciliation
• New fixed assets registration and calculation of depreciation for all fixed asset
• Other supports as needed requested by the Director of Finance

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables, as well as other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Beanworks, QuickBooks, or Sage is a plus.
• 2-5 years of Accounting/Finance experience
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
