A mid-size manufacturing company in Dixon, Illinois is looking for a highly ambitious Accountant to join their rapidly evolving organization. The organization offers tremendous growth opportunities for the ideal candidate. Your responsibilities will consist of but will not be limited to the following:

Work with Finance team to maintain the accounting systems and records and preparing statutory, statistical and financial management reports.

Accountant will progress through the following areas for the purpose of fulfilling company objectives, meeting deadlines, cross training, and personal growth within the Finance team.

• Revenue and expense determinations
• Agency accounting and reconciliation
• Annual budget preparation and monthly analysis
• Cross train with other accounting functions
• Expense report and credit card processing
• General ledger maintenance
• Cash management
• Quarterly/Monthly ledger closing
• Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and form departments.
• Cash application
• Intercompany accounting
• Ad hoc reporting
• Annual/Quarterly/Monthly statement preparation and filing
• Assist in independent, statutory, and regulatory agency audits
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

The ideal Accountant should meet the following minimum requirements.

• Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, or relevant work experience
• 3 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
• Candidate must possess strong general ledger accounting, analytical skills and demonstrate initiative to improve processes.

Salary $40,000 - $60,000 based on experience
