  • May help with light repairs or providing support for internal IT related services.
  • Diagnose and resolve computer related problems in hardware, applications, and operating systems, including issues related to installations and configurations.
  • May monitor computer lab resources and computing environment for errors and ensure optimum up time of resources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, technology, and processes and contribute to a team environment by working collaboratively.
  • This role provides primary tier one telephone and remote support for user technologies.
  • Ensures documentation is accurate and updated regularly.
  • Requires experience troubleshooting tier one Mac and Windows OS and related experience supporting email and desktop applications.
  • May serve as backup for walk in or field support.
  • Track all client interactions and document work process.
  • Process work in queued ticketing system, closing or escalating tickets and issues, documenting resolution in ticketing or knowledge management system to help resolve similar problems more quickly in future.
  • May support students users in computer labs.
  • Provide primary support to resolve issues relating to computer and printer repair.

Additional Job Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support IT infrastructure, ensuring adherence to standards and service-level objectives
  • Collaborate with staff and other partners which may include service providers and vendors
  • Support PCI Compliance protocols and electronic merchant accounts for programs
  • Work with the Associate Director to maintain and document local IT infrastructure processes and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by Associate Director for Administration and Finance
  • Abide by and follow the Client IT technical standards, policies, and Code of Conduct
  • Serve as a point of contact for technology matters, troubleshoot and manage escalations to Client IT

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years post-secondary education or relevant work experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Awareness of and aptitude to understand, respect, and adapt to cultural and identity-based differences within group environments appropriately and effectively
  • Skills related to creating and supporting an environment that allows for inclusion, effective intercultural engagement, and personal humility and authenticity
  • Experience in Open Scholar and Adobe Creative Cloud is preferable
  • The following cultural competencies are also preferred:
  • Demonstrated team performance skills, service mindset approach, and the ability to act as a trusted advisor
  • Completion of Client IT Academy specified foundational courses (or external equivalent)
  • Certificates and Licenses
  • Knowledge of and commitment to concepts and issues regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, high level of initiative and service orientation
  • BS preferred
  • Familiarity with standard office applications including Microsoft Office (particularly with SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook), Google Suite, Zoom, and Filemaker
  • Knowledge of and/or experience within a large institutional environment

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Maybe be occasionally required to work outside of normal business hours, and may be contacted during off hours
  • A schedule with an in-person presence at our main office and some offsite hours will be determined with the individual.
