Support Virtual Lab Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION

In the Support Virtual Lab Manager role you’ll act as an outsourced purchasing department (think a “personal shopper”) for biotech companies and scientific research labs. Though we are “virtual” to our customers, the majority of our team works out of the Chicago office at least 2 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Present at team meetings
• Organize basic accounting details on behalf of your books of labs, e.g. purchase orders and invoices reporting progress
• Utilize proprietary and off-the-shelf software to manage your book of labs
• Communicate with suppliers (sales reps, technical help & customer service) to obtain pricing, technical information and retrieve order updates
• Track, process, and manage orders for customers
• Proactively solve logistics and supply chain issues on behalf of customers

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

A strong candidate will have two or more of the following experiences, but we encourage you to apply regardless of qualifications:

• Lab Technician or Research Associate,
• Customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Purchaser in a scientific or academic setting,
• Logistics experience, or

COMPENSATION

• 20 days of paid days off
• Medical, Dental and Vision & 401(K) Plan
• Full-time salaried $40K to $55K, depending on experience
• Hybrid work available (after 90 days of employment)
