Description

This position will provide technical support for the Knowles Precision Devices IT technical infrastructure and its employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support local server, network, and telephone infrastructure.
• Make hardware and software acquisition recommendations, including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services.
• Assist in planning and implementing major system hardware and software changes.
• Follow standard Helpdesk operating procedures; accurately log all Helpdesk contacts using helpdesk software.
• Educate users on applications and resolutions in a prompt and professional manner.
• Install, assemble, and configure software, computers, monitors, network infrastructure, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and related hardware.
• User support and customer service – must be present and available to users requiring technical assistance.
• Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on technical infrastructure.
• Support development of operational and quality assurance procedures

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Knowledge of PC hardware and repair
• 1-3 years of experience with end-user support
• Must be able to keep abreast of new technological and/or procedural developments and present options for improvement to IT management in an organized manner.
• Ability to perform as an integral part of a team.
• Associates degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Must be a US citizen, legal permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
• Must be able to interface with business areas and effectively translate business needs into technology-based business solutions.
• Experience with VMWare a plus
• Knowledge of networking in a Microsoft environment
• Experience working with Windows server 2012, 2016, 2019, Active Directory
• Strong customer service orientation
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows including configuration, driver installation, and general troubleshooting
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, along with the ability to perform well under pressure.
• All applicants must be eligible to work in the US without restriction to ITAR documentation and materials.
• Experience with Switching infrastructure a plus
• Knowledge of Active Directory & Group Policy
• Experience in project management

One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting pay for this role is targeted to be between $55,000 to $65,000 per year.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
