The IT Intern will primarily focus to provide support for all of Soleo’s IT and communications related functions. The responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to) hardware and software support of user workstations, corporate systems, lab equipment, mobile devices, and network administration. Secondary duties include new technology research and product evaluations.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Requirements review & research assistance
• Data storage and backup
• Provide user helpdesk support
• Perform application software installation & configuration
• Assist in hardware and software inventory management
• Installation and management of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Document all processes in reference manuals for the purpose of training and guidance
• Perform necessary projects to achieve the organizations mission

Qualification and Experience:

• Experience with Windows Server
• Ability to write clear and concise user documentation
• Experience with Microsoft applications including MS Office & SharePoint
• General understanding of PC and server hardware and ability to troubleshoot & replace components
• Understanding of Active Directory
• Ability to work with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues
• Familiarity with Internet firewalls and security

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Complete work with a high level of accuracy and able to quality check own work
• Self-starter and finisher
• Ability to communicate very well across various functions and disciplines, including at the executive level
• Ability to manage multiple priorities at one time and manage tight deadlines
• Strong desire to succeed and be part of a winning team
• Ability to proactively follow-up on open and unclear items
