LabCorp is recruiting a IT Field Technician (Computer System Specialist) for a dynamic team in the Orlando FL and surrounding area.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install proprietary software, schedule onsite installations with clients, provide face to face and host online trainings with WebEx as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work from a ladder as needed. Knowledge of the use of small power tools and diagnostic equipment is helpful.
- Familiarity with Active Directory (adding/deleting/moving PCs), LogMeIn Central/Rescue, MS Office, Outlook and Teams, WebEx, and general help desk ticketing software capabilities.
- Our clients are various types of medical provider offices, hospital and clinical labs, and LabCorp patient service centers. Some internal operations support when requested.
- Connect, install, and troubleshoot various Internet sources: wireless and wired broadband connectivity. Basic networking skills with LANs, routers, and switches is highly desired.
- Responsible for ordering, inventory, and return of corporate devices on a regular basis.
- Typically the usual workweek is Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5PM. Rarely voluntary weekend work on very special occasions paid with overtime.
- Proven multitasking abilities and prioritization in a changing environment.
- The main work office is in Orlando near Orlando International Airport, with some Work-from-Home opportunities allowable with work needs.
- Home every night. The assigned territory is centered in the Orlando – Orange County area and its surrounding counties of Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, Osceola, and Lake. There is some overlap in other work areas when needed. May include voluntary travel into distant work areas that might involve over-night stays on rare occasions, paid for by the company.
- Must be results oriented and self motivating. The technician will normally plan their own work day and adjust their schedule when required, sometimes in a moment’s notice.
- Local client-facing field technician performs installation and replacement services to include: install and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 Enterprise computers and attached equipment such as monitors, laser printers, bar code and ID readers, and several models of label printers. We do not troubleshoot to component level in most cases.
- Other duties when requested by supervisor and manager.
- Position typically comes with a company car and fuel card, laptop, and cell phone. Other types of equipment may be provided when necessary for the job by reimbursement.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid Florida driver license with a clean driving record and no major traffic offenses. Labcorp requires random yearly driver license checks. Must also be able to pass a corporate mandated urine drug screen test before being offered the position. Corporate drivers are subject to random drug screens during their employment with Labcorp.
- License/Certification/Education: Normally requires an Associates’ Degree w/1-2 years of relevant IT experience. Willing to consider verifiable related work experience in lieu of degree. Knowledge in comparable technologies will be considered, as well as industry certifications and licenses.
