Computer Aided Design Technician

This role involves using CAD software to create technical drawings and plans for various industries including engineering, construction, and manufacturing. As a CAD Technician, you will collaborate with architects and design engineers to understand initial design requirements, turning these into accurate and detailed technical drawings in 2D and 3D models.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare Exhibits and Sketches.
• Write Legal Descriptions.
• Build 3D Surface Models.
• Draft Subdivision Plats, Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and other related Surveys.
• Prepare Record Drawings from Field Data & Notes.
• Review Legal Descriptions and Title Information.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Field Crews, and Clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to prepare a formboard tie-in/foundation survey, final survey, plot plan, boundary survey, and topographic survey/lot drainage plan.
• Ability to meet deadlines and revise redlines.
• Experience with field work.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, plats, and Job Initiation Orders (JIOs).
• Understanding of dimensioning, orientation, labeling of improvements, and occupation.
• Great math skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in AutoCad Civil 3D.
• Ability to add final certifications to final survey and calculate missing corners.
• Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment:

• Ability to work overtime and some weekends.
• Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
• Comfort with sitting for extended periods of time and focusing intently on drawings.

Physical Demands:

• This role involves sitting for extended periods of time and the ability to focus on detailed drawings.

Travel Required:

• Some travel may be required.
