Computer Aided Design Technician

Our boutique design-build architecture firm is looking for an organized and efficient architecture graduate to develop projects at all phases. The ideal candidate for this position will have 3+ years of experience working in an architecture firm and have aspirations or previous experience with project management. They should also have experience in residential and commercial construction and the ability to produce complete and accurate drawings using CAD software. All employees work directly with the principal architects. Responsibilities include design work, producing construction documents, develop construction details, 3d modeling, producing renderings, coordinate/communicate with clients, engineers, & contractors, develop presentations, permitting, and communication with professionals at municipalities.

General Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop drawings from sketches & design meetings
• Prepare construction documents for review by municipalities
• Coordinate and communicate with engineers and consultants
• Receive, maintain, & organize files and drawings for projects
• Develop technical drawings using CAD software

Requirements and Qualifications

• Attention to detail
• Technical design skills
• Experience with CAD software
• 3+ years of experience as a CAD Operator
• Technical degree in drafting or equivalent job experience
• Knowledge of local building codes
• Bachelors degree or above, preferably in Architecture or Engineering
• Leadership or management skills are a plus
• Deadline-oriented mindset
