Investment Banking Associate | Energy Transition

King & Sykes is a values driven staffing firm founded to partner with investment banks, private equity & alternative asset investors who are at the forefront of sustainable investing, and their portfolio of companies.

We have partnered with an investment bank specializing in energy, infrastructure and power focussed transactions who are looking to add an Associate-level professional to their team. You will work with a team of highly experienced investment professionals covering North America.

The role:

• Analysing energy, infrastructure and power investment opportunities
• Draft industry and sector analysis reports, business plans and other documents
• Prepare and analyse detailed financial models, including the modeling of capital and tax structures as well as conducting sensitivity analyses
• Perform preliminary analysis of investment opportunities, including the assessment of investment merits and risks
• Prepare tracking documents for portfolio investments and periodic evaluations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• An ability to take initiative and work as part of a high performance team
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking or Private Equity
• Experience with infrastructure investments/industry, an asset
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively
