The Hydraulic Valve Division is part of the Motion Systems Group of Parker Hannifin Corporation and consists of three locations: Elyria, OH, Hicksville, OH and Forest City, NC. By joining our Manufacturing Engineering Internship program, you will become a valued member of our team - tackling challenging issues, delivering truly impactful results, and providing you the opportunity to grow both technically and personally through practical working experience.
You will use the fundamental principles of mechanical, electrical, industrial, or other engineering disciplines to support the design, evaluation, and improvement of new products as well as existing components and/or systems. Your objective is to enable technology breakthroughs that serve the most important, yet least satisfied, outcomes of interest for our customers, providing solutions that deliver compelling value and unparalleled performance.

Responsibilities

With direct supervision, you will learn and perform the various aspects of the engineering function by:
  • Acquiring knowledge of various engineering department’s operations, functions, responsibilities, and workflow.
  • Maintaining communication with program coach/mentor to provide feedback on departmental assignments and program improvements.
  • Observing work assignments performed by others and actively participate in hands-on projects and/or special assignments.
  • Attending related training and applying it in work assignments.
  • Performing other related responsibilities.
  • Using engineering skills to conduct analysis and modeling, engage in product design, develop and execute testing procedures, and participate in facilities engineering work.

Qualifications

The requirements to be part of the Programs are:
  • Ability to work effectively in a variety of engineering and manufacturing assignments.
  • Being enrolled in a Bachelor’s or advanced degree program in a related engineering field such as: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CAD systems such as AutoCad, ProE, etc.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team member.
