Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities.
• Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality and reliability objectives of finished products.
• Estimate production cost and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control.
• Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
• Plan and establish the sequence of operations to fabricate and assemble parts or products and to promote efficient utilization.
• Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities.
• Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability and minimize cost.
• Abide by and adhere to all ethics and labor guidelines as set forth by the company.
• Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
• Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
• Direct workers engaged in product measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
• Implement methods and procedures for the disposition of discrepant material and defective or damaged parts, and assess cost and responsibility.
• Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards and implement Kaizen project improvements.
• Evaluate precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment and engineering drawings to formulate corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with Environment Health & Safety requirements.

Education and Experience:

• Experience with AutoCAD preferred
• 1-3 years of Engineering experience
• Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant Environmental Health & Safety regulations at the local, state, and federal levels
• Excellent learning ability
• Knowledge of operations and lean manufacturing tools and principles
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
• Strong analytical skills, used to analyze processes and material flow and understand the financial impact
• Mandarin Chinese ability is a plus
