Technical Services Group, LLC is looking for an innovative, deadline-driven Manufacturing - Industrial Engineer.
The Manufacturing - Industrial Engineer’s responsibilities include improving existing process flows, developing value stream maps. Support lean cell assembly and automation cell assembly launches and cycle time improvements.
To be a successful Manufacturing - Industrial Engineer, you should be able to work within demanding timeframes and develop original, practical solutions to problems. An outstanding Manufacturing - Industrial engineer will draw on a wide range of engineering principles and are not afraid to wander into unchartered territory, as well as ask for help from others.
Responsibilities
- Making labor location changes and tool location changes to minimize/remove transport.
- Focus on continuous improvement opportunities, cost reduction and fast corrective actions.
- Provide timely and effective hands-on problem resolution.
- Define and implement cost effective use of tooling/fixtures, test equipment and workspace utilization to improve quality and efficiency.
- Develop and implement documentation, methods, and training required to support the most effective and efficient procurement, assembly, and testing of manufactured products.
- Time and motion study of floor to support closing labor efficiency gaps.
- Lead Value Stream Mapping and Process Improvement Projects.
- Provide consultation or training on topics such as Automation or automated control.
- Assist in assessing movement of material flow on factory floor.
- Reassessment of factory flow cycle times to accurately match changes to processes.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of SolidWorks and ability to design within the software
- Basic understanding of lean cell assembly.
- Basic understanding of robotics and motion profiles
- Basic understanding of automation controls.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, preferably Master Black Belt.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a team or alone.
- BSc in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Self-starter with a passion for Engineering and process improvements.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Must be able to differentiate between customer production and service requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and to talk and hear.The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this position include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving and/or high temperature mechanical equipment and parts.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; infrequently, loud.

POSITION LOCATION: This is a Remote Position with 75% travel requirements.
