Mid Continent Steel and Wire, d.b.a. Mid Continent Nail Corporation is a full-service manufacturing and distribution company offering a vast product assortment of bulk nails, collated fasteners, staples, brads, and pneumatic tools, and is one of the largest suppliers of fasteners to the wooden pallet and crating industry with customers throughout the United States and Canada.
POSITION
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Industrial Direct Sales Manager, who will be responsible for managing a team of sales and service members within the pneumatic tools and fasteners segment of our business. This position does not require relocation but will require approximately 50% travel and overnight stays.
Position Description
This position reports to the Specialty Products Sr. Sales Manager, which includes, but is not limited to:
· Lead and Mentor a growing Team of Sales & Service Professionals selling and supporting Customers in 13 States
· Positively promote our Company, People, Programs and Added Value Proposition to Customers and Prospects
· Develop and maintain close relationships with our Top Customers and Prospects within the Territory
· Travel regularly with team members to observe, train, and assist in closing sales
· Create positive and motivating metrics towards achieving Division and Company Goals
· Evaluate new products and services that will add value and increase volume
· Work closely with multiple departments to accomplish daily activities
· Manage the balance of accounts among team members to allow for growth within each territory
· Log and Track metrics to measure the accomplishment of goals
· Attend Industry Trade Shows and Conventions
Approvals of pricing, assets, and expenses
Preferred Qualifications
·5+ years’ experience in a management role preferably in end-user Sales
· Mechanically proficient and comfortable with hand and power tools
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably with pneumatic, electric, or hydraulicly driven fasteners
· Superior communication and people skills
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· Computer skills, including the Microsoft Outlook, Excell, Word and PowerPoint
· Smart phone/tablet proficient
· Entrepreneurial spirit and dedicated work ethic
