Job Description

:

This position will be responsible for driving the Continuous Improvement process and Problem Solving Champion for the site. This position will also identify and lead Continuous Improvement projects in a cross functional team throughout the site. This position will also work closely with the site operations and quality teams to implement process improvement initiatives and with engineering resources for all capital projects to ensure that standards are met. The CI/Implementation Technologist is also responsible for implementing new processes, products, or packaging at the GRV site. This position will be the lead for implementing new products, packaging, processes and raw materials on site. To accomplish this, this role will collaborate with the Product/Packaging development teams to ensure successful transfer of specifications.

What are we looking for?

  • BS Degree in Food Safety, Business, Engineering or related to field and Up to 3 years of experience in Food Manufacturing environment working in Quality, Food Safety, Engineering or Product/Process Development
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team to deliver desired results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of food processing and packaging technology is highly preferred
  • Green Belt Certification preferred, but not required

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead performance improvement and COGS initiatives
  • Coach and trainer for Root Cause Analysis and Problem Solving
  • Ability to complete Green Belt Certification if not already obtained
  • Collaborate with team leaders and operators by facilitating problem solving and loss analysis on chronic problems.
  • Support MSE Pillars and activities (FMOS, AM, FI, PM, Safety, and Quality)
  • Leader of MSE FI pillar
  • Responsible for delivering $200k annually in Continuous Improvement projects
  • Support Operations in standard creation and CIL process
  • Evaluate and communicate performance against KPI targets in line with the Compelling Business Need (CBN)
  • Responsible for the successful implementation of new packaging, products, or processes in the site.
  • Be the site champion on Problem Solving and the Continuous Improvement process
