CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT COORDINATOR

SUMMARY
Execute / participates in projects regarding new or improved processes, cost reductions, new or improved products and new technologies for MAHLE. Special projects may be assigned as deemed appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Help Identifying / proposes improvement projects to the logistics staff.
Responsible for executing Action plans of Continuous improvement projects.
Prepare Progress Report to of projects.
Follow up the implementation of the projects.
Prepares and maintain key metrics to be presented monthly or as required.
Direct responsibility for implementation of MAHLE Production System (MPS).
Provide back-up support to Technical Support team.
Within the position’s scope, contribute to completion of departmental objectives (technical, financial, quality)
Maintain awareness of, and meet, the requirements of the Company Quality System
Required to observe all safety rules and regulations. Must act safely and be responsible for the safety of others around work area.
Complies with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints. Ability to prepare documentation that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to management, customers, and/or internal work force.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with complex mathematical concepts and apply them to practical situations in resolution of problems.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to manage the activity of defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions in solution of problems. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

OVERTIME
Employees must be able to work additional hours at the end of the shift, additional days during the payroll week, which can and will be in excess of forty (40) hours per payroll week.
