OVERVIEW

Ministry HR Group is a Texas-based HR Consulting firm focusing on providing Biblical, inviting HR solutions for Christian organizations. The role of our Part-Time Remote HR Generalist – Texas is to be an implementor and communicator of Human Resources Programs, from a Biblical standpoint. The job will report to one of our Fractional HR Directors and supports our Christian clients with their people strategy and programs. The HR Generalist tracks projects, implements systems, and creates materials to support the clients. We support all areas of Human Resources for our clients, including recruiting, selection, hiring, onboarding, compensation, benefits, training and development, performance management, manager and employee engagement, policies and compliance, Christian ministry guidance, systems implementation, and more. The Part-Time HR Generalist balances many areas to be successful: warmth within guidelines; ministry within government laws; truth and kindness; time, quality, and cost; and client needs with best practices.

Please note that this position is part-time, hourly, non-exempt, and remote. The incumbent must live in Texas, USA.The Part-Time HR Generalist works Monday through Friday, 10-20 hours per week during the core hours of 9am-4pm CT.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of HR at a Christian ministry or privately held Christian business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to consistently maintain a Professional Remote Office
  • Ability to connect HR concepts with appropriate Biblical references in HR coaching, materials, and communication
  • A minimum of 2 years in HR Administration
  • Ability to provide and support a Christian, Biblical perspective on employment situations
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage a diverse set of projects and timelines
  • Proven ability to support a wide variety of HR programs
  • Must maintain a home address in the state of Texas
  • A degree in Human Resources, or equivalent HR experience
  • Ability to hold a current US-based Professional HR certification within 2 years of start date (SHRM or HRCI)
  • Desire and ability to learn new ways of addressing HR issues
  • Ability to consistently provide high quality, detailed, and accurate work product
  • Ability to demonstrate positive and professional behavior in every situation

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the HR Director in HR strategy, programs, and compliance for Ministry HR Group clients
  • Create a safe space for our client’s employees to report concerns, ask questions and receive coaching from a Christian perspective

  • Support the implementation of full-suite, start-to-finish HR Programs:
  • Actively participate in Ministry HR Group meetings and community

  • Support the clients’ ability to do Christian ministry by strengthening their system of faith-based tenets and adherence to the same
  • Project Manage the client workload
  • Support the development of the Ministry HR Group centralized HR Toolkit
  • Provide in-house support to other Ministry HR Group team members

  • Provide a positive and professional representation of Ministry HR Group with prospective clients as needed
  • Support the following HR Consulting processes while actively participating in consulting meetings and projects

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage or perform special HR projects as needed.
  • Travel to Ministry HR Group or client events a few times per year

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Focus and analyze large spreadsheets, databases, and reports of complex data for up to 3 hours at a time
  • Operate a laptop, keyboard, and mouse for up to 5 hours per day
