These services include providing benefits through innovative life and health insurance plans, financial services, and customized insurance products for niche markets.
Position Summary
The HR Generalist will report directly to the HR Director and assist with the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs. The HR Generalist will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), onboarding, employee relations, training and development, benefits, organizational development, and employment. He/she will anticipate the people issues associated with business decisions and assist in developing solutions in partnership with leaders.
Expectations
- Support existing HR workflows and processes including but not limited to: CORE Values; ADP WFN; Educational Programs Life Office Management Association (LOMA); Payroll, Audits; Annual Benefit roll-out and enrollment, etc…
- Able to produce reports for internal use and external filing as requested
- Knowledge of state/national DOL standards/regulations
- Assists with recruiting/interviewing; reviewing job descriptions as needed
- Train and able to back-up payroll as needed
- Maintains professionalism while negotiating changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Adhere to FTJ Policies & Procedures, including but not limited to Corporate Mission Statement, Corporate Values and Corporate Code of Conduct
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
- Must be able to research questions and provide accurate information in response to employee inquiries while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Familiar with administration of benefits such as medical; 401k Plans; Family Medical Leave Act; Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act and Workers Compensation
- Assists in evaluating and managing performance reviews/compensation analysis
Competencies
- Superior communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
- Experience with social media outlets for company promotion/recruiting
- Capability to interact successfully with those at all levels, inside and outside the organization
- Accuracy in all accounts required along with good problem solving skills and results-oriented outlook.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) as well as Outlook
- Ability to successfully be an equal partner of a high-performance HR Team
- Energetic, enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
Requisites
- Bachelor Degree in HR related field desired
- Previous HR Generalist experience
- Experience with HR software programs is desired (ADP preferred)
