Job Description
Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join its team at its corporate headquarters in Lodi, California. PCP is investing in its people and advancing a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America.


The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and support to employees on a range of HR matters, including: supporting the Human Capital Management (HCM) and timekeeping systems, training and communicating with HCM systems users, onboarding and recruitment, employee relations, benefits enrollment, leave administration, document management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The HR Generalist will report to the Director of HR and work closely with other members of the HR team to ensure a positive employee experience and successful HR operations.


Primary Job Duties Would Include


  • Participate and lead special HR projects as assigned by the Director of HR.
  • Administer reasonable accommodations for employees as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and provide guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the accommodation process.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist in fulfilling data requests to support the analysis and planning for company compensation/benefits, departmental initiatives, or regulatory reporting.
  • Oversee leaves of absence, (e.g., FMLA/CFRA/PDL) and attendance tracking for employees and managers.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager to manage the recruitment and selection process for non-exempt employees at the corporate office, including job postings, coordinating interviews, marketing initiatives, attending job fairs, and improve onboarding processes, such as benefits enrollment.
  • Coordinate events and activities aimed at improving workplace engagement and culture, such as employee appreciation events, wellness initiatives, retirement parties, and other events.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and always maintain a high level of professionalism, setting a high standard for all employees.
  • Manage the termination process for employees, including conducting exit interviews and providing guidance to managers on the process.
  • Collaborate with the HRIS Supervisor and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of system updates and new system integrations for the HCM, time and attendance system, and other HR supported systems.
  • Lead in creating and maintaining a document management system for HR policies and forms.

Education And Experience


  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; or four (4) years related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, HRIS Specialist experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with HCM and/or timekeeping systems.
  • SHRM and/or HRCI professional certification preferred.


Salary Range: $70,000-90,000; candidate will be paid based on their work experience and skills. This position is eligible for the annual profit-sharing bonus program. In addition to compensation, the company offers an attractive and competitive health and welfare benefits program.
