Job Description

Are you ready to help build a best-in-class HR function that delivers the strategic and operational recruiting & retention strategy while partnering with Senior Leadership to determine key hiring needs and compensation/performance management strategies? If you are a hands-on, metric driven leader in the HR/talent space, and looking for a fast-paced, high growth opportunity within talent management, we invite you to apply today!

The Talent and HR Manager is a newly created role within our Client's actively growing company. We would be impressed by a candidate that has a background in developing and leading both the Talent Acquisition and Talent Management strategy and process. This includes managing employment branding and all other aspects of candidate attraction; the use of robust, scientifically-sound assessment practices for selection and development; ensuring a “white glove” candidate experience from outreach to onboarding; embracing DEI across both TA and TM; enhancing existing employee development and succession planning practices.

Successful candidates for this role will have experience in current methodologies for attracting, assessment, and developing the workforce. They will partner with senior business leaders to understand business and talent priorities, organizational challenges, assess macro talent trends, and drive enhanced understanding of talent outcomes and their drivers.

Key Competencies Required:

  • Influence and Change Agency: ability to sell the value of new process, activity, and requirements to a variety of stakeholders, over whom you have no direct authority
  • Strategic Thinking: ability to see and create possibilities proactively
  • Functional Knowledge and Experience in a best-in-class talent acquisition and talent management organization; experience in having created those practices is a plus
  • Learning Orientation: willingness to keep up on current best practices in both areas
  • Initiative: willingness to look for opportunities to add value and to drive processes forward in a busy environment with minimal feedback from others

YOUR MISSION

  • Align TA&M efforts & solutions to achieve strategic initiatives and operating objectives that are integral to supporting evolving business plans; ensuring strong stakeholder engagement
  • Create and nurture relationships with external agencies/sources of talent, develop creative and alternative external sources of talent, and keep on leading edge of best practices
  • Lead the development of TA&M metrics and analytics to increase effectiveness
  • Create and enhance Talent Management practice, moving the company beyond self-directed training and into more robust development. This might include creating hi-po development programs for critical roles; creating meaningful development opportunities; establishing and leading workforce planning meetings, including succession planning efforts.
  • Ensure all TA&M policies, processes, and practices are in full legal compliance and in keeping with Company rules, regulations, and requirements
  • Oversee all relevant supplier contracts needed to support and enhance talent acquisition activities
  • Lead TA&M for the Company, which includes delivering optimal stakeholder management, enterprise strategy with localized recruiting flexibility where required, and measurement and reporting of outcomes
  • Implement enhanced Talent Acquisition process, including working to create a clear employment brand, revising onboarding experience, implementing the assessment and selection process; establish metrics for effectiveness
  • Build functional and leadership capability within the team and adequate resourcing for current and future needs
  • Provide leadership and advice on best ways to build robust internal and external talent pipeline; proactively source for high-quality candidates and maintain relationships with talent for future opportunities
  • Assess and improve practices to ensure candidates receive a best-in-class experience at all touch points throughout the talent acquisition process

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN COMPENSATION & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
  • Experience supporting multiple locations
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proactive and takes the initiative to get work done; exemplary administrative skills and strong attention to detail, including ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize and manage projects through to completion
