Job Description

To help achieve this mission, we are looking for an HR Operations Manager to partner with our team to develop and improve our key HR processes & systems for our St. Louis office and workforce.


Scale is growing rapidly, and we believe that a strong HR Manager will be critical to our success. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience and a drive for rolling out thoughtful and scalable HR policies and initiatives. We are also looking for a thought partner and team player who loves collaborating on various projects with other members of the team.


You will:


  • Serve as HR point of contact for St. Louis employees
  • Facilitate on-boarding and off-boarding for all St. Louis employees and contractors. You’ll be responsible for coordination of tasks such as background checks, employment verifications, and required training.
  • Manage day to day HR related tasks for our Fed Operations Team including HR records, timekeeping, and leave tracking.
  • Work in-person at our St. Louis office to support the 300+ local workforce.
  • Partner with EOR Management to resolve any personnel issues
  • Develop performance review cycle for specific employee groups
  • Partner with Operations leads to define and roll-out new policies, programs and trainings as needed
  • Wear multiple hats and pitch in where needed!
  • Help improve and execute the strategy and operating model for our contractor workforce, which will include but is not limited to performance tracking, compliance and security requirements, and engagement.


Ideally you’d have:


  • An ability to identify and execute process improvements to make systems more streamlined and efficient.
  • 5-7+ years of HR experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, iterative environment. Open to changes in focus and direction as the business requires.
  • An ability to navigate personnel relations with both empathy and sound judgment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with change management


Nice to have:


  • Government Contract experience
  • Experience with EOR/Contractor Workforce
