Job Description
Batteries Plus is looking for an HR Generalist to maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.


The HR Generalist position will be located onsite at the Batteries Plus national Distribution Center in Glendale, WI. Our Distribution Center operates with 3 shifts and this role will be supporting all shifts. Does this sound like the next step in your Human Resources career? Please apply today!


Responsibilities


  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
  • Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier
  • Support wage programs to ensure compliance and equity within functional teams
  • Works closely with management and associates to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
  • Manages and resolves associate relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
  • Advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues
  • Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization
  • Prepares separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Attends and participates in associate disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations


Qualifications


  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, associate and union relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field


Preferred Qualifications


  • SHRM Certification
  • 1+ years of human resource experience
