About the Role:
The HR Generalist provides vital HR services to Corporate based business groups at Nu Skin. The position is a member of the HR Operations team and reports to the Sr. Director, Employee Relations and Corporate HR. Examples of crucial HR services include employee relations, performance management, onboarding, employee transactions, and HR handbook and policy guidance. Collaborates on HR projects with other HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) such as HRIS & Compliance, Leadership & Organizational Development, and Compensation and Benefits.
What you'll do:
  • Process HR workflows and data changes in the HRMS. Find opportunities for process improvement as needed. Provides support to leaders who are performing people and organization actions for their teams in the HRMS.
  • Expertly inquire for facts during investigations; accurately anticipate implications of events or decisions and plan accordingly during investigations. Identify root causes of disputes and make recommendations for prevention and improvement of outcomes as well as reduction of risk for the company. Act as a liaison between department managers and legal representatives during investigations, legal action, hearings, etc. Use and demonstrate knowledge of employment law to resolve disputes and minimize legal exposure.
  • Train employees and leaders at all levels of the organization on varying HR topics from basic policy and procedure to in-depth legal matters. Create employee communications for ongoing training topics (NEO, Manager Training, etc.) Identifies training needs for individual teams or the organization and makes recommendations for implementation. Participate as needed in training key partners on action items.
  • Capture and analyze data for reporting, audit, or compliance needs.
  • Work on cross-division projects or employee events as HR resource. Lead team projects or employee events that have organizational reach. May lead or co-lead projects or employee events with team members or lead projects with supervision.
  • Provide coaching and counsel to leaders at multiple levels of the organization regarding both routine and complicated issues with little to no escalation. Proactively address needs; take action with little to moderate direction. Use understanding of the business needs and organizational culture to assist in resolutions. Seek multiple perspectives and input on situations and be proactive with assigned clients. Identify and prioritize disputes quickly and other issues as they arise.

  • Good judgment, emotional intelligence, empathy, and resilience when dealing with difficult employee relations matters

  • Excellent Problem-solving skills and can analyze data and find opportunities to makes recommendations for improvements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, labor relations, human resource, organizational behavior, or related field
  • Establish credibility and trust with employees and business leaders. Provide back-up support to HR Business Partners on a range of HR processes and topics.
