Your Impactful Role
You'll lead after-school workshops at local high schools, promoting student success in college access, careers, and social-emotional learning. Your guidance will be instrumental in helping students with college enrollment processes, scholarships, and other barriers to access. Your support will extend to case management and interventions related to academics, attendance, behavior, and mentor matches.
You'll also have the opportunity to coordinate engaging job shadows, college tours, and career experiences, fostering an environment of curiosity and growth. Furthermore, you'll promote student engagement high schools, college/career tours, summer programming, and special events, making a lasting impact on their educational journey.
Requirements for Success
You should possess a genuine passion for working with youth populations and have previous work or volunteer experience in this area. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Building positive relationships with high school students and guiding them toward their goals will be a key aspect of your success.
