Data Analyst (Clinical Pathways)
The Data Analyst will play a key role in a healthcare organizations Data & Analytics department. They will be responsible for managing the development of Epic metrics and measures related to clinical pathways, order sets, medications, labs, and other areas of operations. They will also support the data and analytics team with discovery and issue resolution for various projects. The Data Analyst should have a strong understanding of operational processes within healthcare and be able to effectively communicate with customers. They will analyze operational data, develop and maintain data models, and stay current with industry trends and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, be a problem solver, and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the data and analytics team with discovery and issue resolution for various projects
- Communicate effectively with customers, both internal and external, to gather information and provide updates on projects
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices are being followed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document business requirements for data and analytics projects
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business processes and systems, and make recommendations for improvements
- Develop and maintain data models and reports to support decision-making and strategic planning
- Manage the development of Epic metrics and measures related to clinical pathways, order sets, medications, labs, and other areas of operations
- Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Assist with Epic-related projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- Epic Clarity Data Model Certification
- Strong technical acumen, project management and communication skills
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Bachelor Degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Statistics or related quantitative STEM field
- Experience working in healthcare environment and familiarity with healthcare data types (e.g., EHR, claims, MAR)
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in SQL

- Effectively communicates to executive stakeholders and provides advisory support as needed.
- Ability to develops project plans, roadmaps and requirements

- Proven ability and desire to learn and apply new software, technologies and techniques
