Location: Home-based in any country where World Vision International is registered to operate within Asia/Australia or proximity. Flexible work arrangements.
Provide technical advisory support and guidance to South Asia and Pacific Region (SAPO) and Field Offices on current and emerging health and nutrition issues, promising practices, and lessons learned (this may include the establishment of a ‘Regional Knowledge Hub’ and/or ‘Community of Practice’) - 55%
  • Lead Health and Nutrition learning and generation of promising practices, establishing systems and processes, and effective knowledge management across the Region Provide guidance and support to FOs in their implementation of operational requirements on Health and Nutrition (e.g. Core Project Models, Health and Nutrition Guidelines and Minimum Standards)
  • Provide technical guidance in quality design and implementation of health and nutrition approaches in alignment with WV’s global strategy, contextual field realities and promising global/regional/national promising practices.
  • Determine Regional and Field capacity gaps and develop capacity building strategies and plan.
  • Ensure national and field offices’ capacity in health and nutrition programming is continuously improving to meet and exceed organizations minimum expectations and quality standards
  • Act as Business Partner and Technical Leader to build the capacity and positioning of Field Offices.
  • Provide technical support for design, implementation and evaluation of Health and Nutrition programs.
  • Deepen and scale up quality health and nutrition programming and advocacy efforts in WV operation areas.
Represent and Lead World Vision South Asia and Pacific Region (SAPO) on strategic Health and Nutrition networks, engaging as ‘thought leader’ and ‘technical expert’ with priority stakeholders - 20%
  • Lead meaningful Health and Nutrition dialogue, external engagement and strategic positioning.
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with regional Health and Nutrition coalitions, networks, and other Civil Society Organisations to raise the voice of most vulnerable children
  • Collaborate with respected institutions for continuing professional development
  • Spearhead the development of a regional Health and Nutrition Strategy roadmap.
Lead and initiate health and nutrition related initiatives to build regional collaboration (research, advocacy, programming) and positioning - 25%
  • Support Advocacy, Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs (HEA) and Grants team in developing Health and Nutrition concept notes, proposals and donor engagement products.
  • Capture impact and improve the evidence base on Health and Nutrition in the South Asia and Pacific Region through innovative researches, data utilisation, thought leadership and routine FO and Grants Reporting (Horizon, Annual Reporting).
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to stay abreast and engage on new and emerging issues and opportunities in the Health and Nutrition sector.
  • Support Health and Nutrition advocacy and networking activities of the region and of the field offices
  • Proactively engage with RO GAM and Resource Development to monitor significant donor opportunities relevant to Health & Nutrition in the SAP Region ‘
  • Engage with Global Center (GC) Health and Nutrition counterparts for programming guidance strengthening, evidence development and similar initiatives
