Head of Portfolio People Operations - Onsite in Atlanta, GA

Based in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, GA, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People Operations to join our team and make a lasting impact on our portfolio companies as we continue to scale.


Position Overview:


As the Head of People Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the HR landscape across our diverse portfolio of companies. You will have the opportunity to standardize and optimize HR processes, embrace cutting-edge technology solutions, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and empower our portfolio company HR leaders and personnel to thrive. Reporting to the Managing Director of Talent, you will be at the forefront of driving positive change and supporting the success of our companies.


Responsibilities:


  • Reporting and Analytics: Unleash the power of data by developing reporting mechanisms and leveraging analytics to gain valuable insights into our workforce. Your data-driven approach will guide strategic decision-making and optimize employee engagement, performance, and retention
  • Compliance and Best Practices: Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up-to-date with HR best practices, compliance initiatives, and employment laws. Your insights will ensure ethical practices and mitigate risks across our organization
  • HR Roadmap Development: Draw on your experience and expertise to help shape HR roadmaps and strategies that drive our portfolio companies forward. Your innovative thinking and ability to navigate the unique challenges of technology companies will be invaluable
  • Training and Development: Champion a culture of growth and development by collaborating with HR leaders to design and implement training programs that enhance HR capabilities and align with our organizational goals
  • HR Leadership Experience: Bring your experience in building out people operations within technology companies from 0-1 more than once. Share your insights, successes, and lessons learned to help us elevate our HR practices and create a world-class environment
  • HR Process Standardization: Lead the charge in establishing best practices and standardized HR processes that create consistency and efficiency across our portfolio companies, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Mergers and Acquisitions Support: Play a vital role in the growth of our organization by providing HR due diligence support during acquisitions and facilitating seamless integration efforts
  • HR Technology and Systems: Embrace the power of technology and utilize your expertise in various HR platforms to revolutionize our HR operations. From HRIS to Performance Management Systems and everything in between, you will enhance efficiency and streamline processes
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Be the guiding light for our HR leaders and personnel across portfolio companies. Your mentorship and support will nurture their professional growth, align them with our HR vision, and empower them to excel


Requirements


The Skills and Experience You Bring:


  • Extensive expertise in HR technology platforms, including HRIS, Performance Management Systems, Learning Management Systems, Applicant Tracking Systems, and more
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to build and track multiple initiatives simultaneously using project tracking software (Asana, Monday.com, Airtable, etc.)
  • A deep understanding of HR best practices, compliance initiatives, and employment laws
  • A proven track record of building, implementing, and iterating upon created HR roadmaps that align with business objectives
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills that inspire and guide HR leaders and personnel
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR operations, with a strong focus on rapidly growing technology companies. Prior experience managing a team of HRBPs highly preferred
