The Company

MKH Capital Partners is a private equity firm founded by entrepreneurial families and professional investors. MKH offers a strong combination of long-term family capital and large-scale private equity expertise and resources. MKH is currently investing out of its $305mm closed fund. The fund’s initial capital came primarily from two families, the Motta and Kazma families. They have invested approximately $3 billion individually, and operated businesses across the financial, telecom, retail, airlines, energy and distribution industries, among others, for the past 30 years. The Motta and Kazma families have partnered together on successful investments for the past 20 years, jointly investing over $1 billion.

MKH actively partners with business owners and leading management teams to cultivate growth of niche industry players and create stronger companies that become regional/national leaders. The team at MKH are flexible investors and straightforward partners. They work hard to find the best structure for each investment and do not use a “one size fits all” approach, as they know each business’s and founder’s needs are unique. The Opportunity

As MKH develops, they hope to identify a qualified candidate to assume the newly created role of head of business development.As head of business development, you will be an integral member of the MKH team responsible for leading and managing the origination and deal sourcing initiatives of the firm, both strategically and tactically.

While MKH is based in Miami, FL, the selected candidate can live and work from any location.This head of business development will lead and manage the firm’s origination efforts, ensuring that MKH is “top of mind” and well known with all key deal source intermediaries. Working closely with the investment team, the successful candidate will develop and enhance the firm’s existing deal sourcing efforts and create best practices to further institutionalize and expand the firm’s origination processes.

The Head of Business Development will be highly team-oriented, have an exceptional work ethic, and be passionate about private equity business development and the critical nature of this role.The candidate will have the charisma, presence, and communication skills to establish credibility both internally and externally.Striking the right balance between confidence and humility, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills, the maturity and gravitas to command the respect of intermediaries, C-suite executives, other investors, and a track record of building deep relationships. This person will be strategic, driven to win and will present with passion, determination, and a sense of urgency. It is critical that the candidate is resourceful, highly organized, process-oriented, data driven, and tech savvy. In addition, will be intellectually curious and embrace continuous improvement, constantly seeking ways to make things better and more efficient.

Responsibilities

·Design, Develop, and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.

·Build and maintain relationships with intermediaries, business owners, and other relevant parties to generate deal flow.

·Work closely with the investment team to evaluate and execute transactions, including negotiating deal terms and structuring financing arrangements.

·Monitor and analyze market trends and competitive dynamics to identify emerging investment opportunities and risks.

·Collaborate with portfolio company management teams to source add-on acquisition targets.

·Represent the firm at industry conferences and events to enhance the firm's reputation and network.

·Manage the deal pipeline and formalize best practices to create efficiencies in reporting and improve scalability across the Business Development function.

·Manage, update and maintain the firm’s CRM system to improve shared communication, track firm contacts, including relevant industry executives,

·Develop and maintain a progressive and creative approach to marketing content across traditional and innovative mediums.

Requirements

·Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

·Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, investment banking, private equity, or related field

·Demonstrated success in sourcing in the lower middle market.

·Strong network of relationships with intermediaries, business owners, and other relevant parties in the lower middle market.

·Proven ability to conduct due diligence on potential acquisitions and effectively communicate findings to investment team.

·Excellent analytical, team building, and problem-solving skills

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

·Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
