About Us
Reframe Systems is on a mission to accelerate the construction of net-zero-carbon housing for all. As a seed-series funded startup in the industrialized construction space, we are reimagining how housing is designed and built. Our volumetric module platform and highly-automated production system will drive down cost, delivery time, and embodied carbon for multifamily apartment construction. Within the next year, we will set up our first factory in the greater Boston area and then scale globally to at least five factories in the next five years. From the beginning, we are integrating generative design, digital twin/simulation, and a robotic micro-factory approach to automation.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking an ambitious and experienced business development and sales leader to become our Head of Business Development. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the modular construction industry and real estate development process with a proven track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities, establishing partnerships, and driving revenue growth, especially in the multifamily housing market. As a founding member, this role has outsized influence and impact on the company's trajectory and will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, collect requirements, and provide recommendations on features for our building and manufacturing platform.
- Work closely with the executive team to develop pricing and profitability models for new business opportunities.
- Define and execute a comprehensive business development strategy including identifying customer personas, sequencing our go-to-market strategy and platform roadmap, and identifying target markets and locations for the first five micro-factories.
- Create the blueprint and build a sales organization from scratch.
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients while delivering an unrivaled customer experience.
- Identify, pursue, and nurture a customer pipeline of market-rate and affordable developers focused on multifamily and missing middle housing.
Basic Qualifications
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passionate about housing sustainability and affordability.
- Willingness to travel ~25% of the time.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management, real estate development, business development, sales, or marketing of multifamily projects.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Creative and strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- A strong network of real estate developers, lenders, architects, and GCs.
- Proven track record of developing and closing new business opportunities.
