Pay Rate$17.60/hour

Qualifications

Primary Qualifications:Working knowledge of typography and layout composition. Works under minimal supervision. Requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, resourcefulness, and ability to work within a fast-paced, dynamic work environment to meet deadlines.Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions. Ability to incorporate feedback.

Secondary Qualifications:Knowledge of Adobe InDesign or other Creative Suite or similar software.

Duties

Layout collateral material, such as newsletters, coloring books, and brochures using Adobe InDesign or equivalent.Collaborates with project staff to produce visually appealing publications. Proofreads documents before submitting for printing and distribution. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, or other publishing, design, and layout software.

Work Schedule

Position may telework from any island in Hawaiʻi. Flexible schedule. Hours will vary. Work is intermittent, on an as-needed basis.

HCRI positions are employed by the Research Corporation of the University of Hawaiʻi (RCUH). The Layout Support Associate will work with the DLNR Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR).
