Job Description

This role leads, plan and manage the activity of multiple luxury clients, while adding vision and momentum to PURPLE’s business. The Group Account Director is a critical client partner role that can demonstrate leadership, strategic direction, accountability and business acumen and supports their fellow Directors by building a strong team. Success of this role is seen through creating an environment for great work, managing expectations, responsible for the delivery of services, profitability of new clients and client retention, while maintaining key client relationship and delivery for best overall strategy of our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and share knowledge with multiple departments
  • Understands and drives the strategic vision of PURPLE and its brand to the media, general public and external audiences globally.
  • Curating reporting materials for clients – agendas, monthly reporting, call recaps, etc.
  • Mentor the team to maximize individual’s growth, strengths and opportunities of each team member.
  • Devise, post event press strategies, press release and engage media partners where relevant.
  • Have initiative or ability to partner with the Directors to bring in new business for the divisions.
  • Work closely with the social medial team and brief on all events and launch initiatives.
  • Working with Beauty team and Managers, coordinate staffing requirements, delegating roles and responsibilities as well as staff briefing ahead of events.
  • Maintain awareness and control client relation situations in an effective and profitable manner.
  • Manage projects from initial brief through to concept and final execution, when it comes to project initiatives, research, proposals, strategies and following up on new business leads for the division.

Skills and Experience


  • Ability to be flexible with working hours.
  • Strong knowledge of the luxury food and beverage sector.
  • Have driven and embedded cultural change across a function or business.
  • Exceptional presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent industry contacts with suppliers, PR’s, production companies, agents, diarists, stylists, VIPs and photographers.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high pressured and fast paced environment.
  • Proactive, with an ability to problem solve and comprehend issues in the context of the bigger picture and business impact.
  • Previous experience of managing and leading a team essential.
  • Previous agency experience essential with an understanding of how an agency is structured.
  • Fearless in challenging and strong willed in driving change.


Qualifications

  • Familiarity with sales performance metrics
  • Proven track record of client and team success
  • 6-8 years of proven success in client management within the lifestyle sector
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
