Program Description:
The Grants Management Department (GMD) is part of the Public Health Solutions (PHS) Office of Legal Affairs and is exclusively responsible for ensuring an efficient application process for Grants/Contract Awards. This includes pre- and post-award support to internal and external stakeholders. The GMD is an integral part of the organization and works closely with PHS Program, Development, and Finance Teams.
Summary of Position:
PHS is seeking a detail-oriented Grants Manager to provide support in the processing of federal, state, city and private grants that fund PHS programs. The Grant Manager will process, manage, and provide pre-award and post-award assistance in maintaining funding awards received by PHS, including the dissemination of executed funding agreements and funding opportunity information.
Specifically, the Grants Manager will:
Coordinate pre- and post- award activities on behalf of a highly active grants management department, by helping to compile application requested documents for government and private foundations. Assist in establishing processes that improves and streamline the management of PHS’ funding agreements.
- Distribute Notice of Award, executed funding agreement and opportunities to relevant stakeholders, including PI/PD, Fiscal and Legal; generates reports as required.
- Update and maintain funding agreement information and grants opportunities in PHS’ software systems.
- Maintain orderly files of critical grants-related documents.
- Maintain PHS Grant documents on the SIC.
- Participates in review meetings to ensure compliance with terms of award, as required.
- Assists in the review and negotiation of funding agreements, as required.
- Prepares funding agreements for PHS approval and execution.
- Participates in meetings with stakeholders to review and discuss the terms of award, roles and responsibilities, and schedule of deliverables, as required.
- Assist in preparing timely submission of grant applications.
- Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions.
- Assist in the compiling of required administrative documents as requested by the funder.
- Assists with the compilation of data for audits requests.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Working knowledge of online systems: Grants.gov, NYC HHS Accelerator, NYC PASSPort, and Grants Gateway.
- At least 1-3 years of experience with grants and contracts in government, healthcare, human services, or other non-profit setting.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong project management skills, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple.
- Salary: $65,000-$75,000
- Proficient in the use of business computing software including: intermediate to advance experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
