Physical Requirements
Sitting for long periods of time, using a computer, keyboard, and mouse, repetitive motion, ability to move easily from place to place as some work will be done in PI locations across campus and Lexington

Job Summary

The College of Medicine Sponsored Research Administrative Services office is seeking a Grant Management Specialist (GMS) to provide Post-Award financial accounting and compliance support to manage the grant portfolio of an assigned group of departments/centers. The position will report to the SRAS Post-Award Manager and will be responsible for oversight of grant accounting and financial activity through regular review of reports, working closely with faculty investigators and department staff.
The GMS will provide support to principal investigators and department staff, as well as other members of the SRAS team, to resolve issues related to fiscal compliance with both sponsor and University regulations.
Work will include assisting with account set-up, initiating budget revisions, journal vouchers, and subcontract requests, performing PADR reviews, supporting financial reporting needs, and other activities as assigned by SRAS management.

Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite, Ability to maintain professional and clear communications with disparate customers and colleagues

Demonstrated familiarity with sponsored award requirements, Experience with SAP and business data warehouses, Certified Research Administrator (CRA) preferred.
