Federal Grant Specialist Jobs

Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as data entry (CRM)

Experience developing new leads, prospecting (cold calling), following up, and building/managing a robust pipeline of qualified federal contract opportunities.

Experience in all aspects of federal proposal development.

Knowledge of the competitive landscape, including an understanding of key contract vehicles used.

Existing relationships with decision makers across multiple Federal Health Agencies

Ability to seek, assess, and develop high quality teaming partner relationships to support bid and post-win contract performance.

Attend meetings associated with assigned grants/cooperative agreements. Attend meetings/trainings associated with grants management responsibilities.

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, project management skills

Independently research applicable regulations, policies, and guidance documents for grants management issues (pre-award, post-award, allowable costs, audits, etc.).

Preferred candidate to have grants management certificate

Four (4) years of related experience in grants and cooperative agreement experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail orientated, MS Suite

Assist with website maintenance, communications, and database management

Knowledge and/or experience with sourcing for funding opportunities

Knowledge and/or experience with qualitative research tools

Strong organizational and communication skills

Experience with designing templates on platforms such as CANVA

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree with one to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Diverse Issues in Higher Education

Experience using spreadsheets, databases, word processing, Adobe PDF software, shared calendars, digital file sharing, and Zoom.

Strong written and oral communication skills, proven attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.

Content knowledge in agriculture, natural resources, and/ or food systems.

One (1) years of responsible experience in grant or program management.

Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.

Coordinates and reviews grant applications to determine eligibility and compliance with program guidance, state and federal statutes, and other requirements.

Monthly Salary: $4,416.67 - $4,833.34/mo

Effectively plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates grant funded programs.

Day shift. Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Routine extra hours when deadlines warrant.

Bachelor’s Degree & 3 to 5 years of specialized federal grant management experience

Grant/Cooperative Agreement Pre-Award Functions: Participates in pre-award application review to assess the responsiveness of applications against established submission requirements.

Reviews and disseminates awardee reports to ensure compliance with technical, financial, and regulatory requirements of the agreement.

Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Drafts award documentation to address any areas of risk or gaps in the grant application.

Ensures all peer review outcomes and funding recommendations are properly documented and filed prior to making an award.
