This role can be done from home
Building the world’s leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices in Seattle, San Francisco & Paris. This role can be done from anywhere in the United States - any of our offices, or remotely from home. It’s about impact, not location.

• Although this role can be done from anywhere, it will require the ability to travel throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia for potential in-person training events.

A Sonos Global Trainer is responsible for bringing educational moments to life across the globe to our partners in the Professional channel. The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of consumer electronics, be an expert on home audio and networking solutions, and have a passion for communicating stories to a large variety of audiences. What You’ll Do

• Navigate and deploy different communications styles dependent on the audience.
• Speak the operating languages of the audiences we connect with: Professional audio-video installation, retail consumer electronics, and more.
• Collaborate remotely and in-person to innovate how the Sonos Professional Training Team connects with our audiences to make our training activities the most enjoyable and fulfilling educational experiences in the industry.
• Present engaging educational content verbally to both small and large audiences in a variety of formats. These formats include in-person events and meetings, live and pre-recorded webinars, on-camera video training, and live trade show events.
• Work in a fast paced, ever changing environment that requires flexibility and compassion for both partners and internal teams.
• Work closely with sales teams to not only use education as a way of driving sales and advocacy, but to identify opportunities for training material to alleviate issues in the installation process.
• Communicate with our partners outside of training events to answer questions and clarify key topics.
• Continue to build on the legacy of “best in class” training moments that Sonos has delivered over the last 10+ years.
• Continually practice presentational skills to maintain training performance at an elite level.
• Keep up with industry trends and technology to ensure that the team is the authority on any topic that complements or competes with Sonos.

Basic Qualifications

• The ability to travel throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia for potential in-person training events.
• Demonstrated experience, and success with public speaking.
• Effective experience in communicating knowledge to others.
• Language fluency in English.
• 1-3 years of experience in the technical education field.

Preferred Qualifications

• A curiosity to learn new skills and a dedication to master those skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint and Google Slides.
• Highly organized and able to deliver multiple projects at the same time.
• Proficiency in writing in a clear and conversational style.
• Additional language fluency in Spanish, French, German, Japanese.
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere.
• A love of the music and home theater experience.
• A passion for consumer and professional electronics.
• Experience collaborating with teammates and cross-functional teams.
• Humility to identify opportunities in oneself and the team.

We consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may cause compensation to vary depending on your skills, experience and qualifications. This job is also eligible for discretionary bonuses as well as an opportunity to become a Sonos shareholder because all full time employees are eligible for stock grants. The minimum base pay may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting minimum base pay for this role is:
$68,000
