THE ROLE

The Project Manager, Sustainability Solutions is an experienced project manager and strategic thinker with a knack for bringing bold and ambitious ideas from concept development to delivery and execution. This role will work with a diverse group of stakeholders on a range of exciting projects, from supporting the growth of our sustainable touring and festivals program, to programs that galvanize engagement from Live Nation employees and industry partners across the globe. You will have experience in corporate and/or event sustainability, specifically vetting and implementing new projects and programs that help achieve sustainability goals and objectives. You are comfortable working across divisions and countries, and bring an acute sense of judgement and tact when navigating competing agendas and priorities .

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Work with business stakeholders to identify gaps and create solutions that are replicable and scalable and aligned with sustainability and business goals; Evaluate efficacy of current sustainability programs considering cost effectiveness, feasibility, ease of integration; make recommendations and implement improvements as necessary
  • Perform technical analysis (LCAs, GHG accounting) where necessary to assess best pathways and assure programs are grounded in sustainability science
  • Research & Analysis:

    • Conduct research and track global trends as it relates to sustainability and live entertainment/events; Prepare briefing reports/technical guides to assure clear understanding of relevant sustainability issues including any trade-offs to help inform decision making and effective program development and management

    • Perform technical analysis (LCAs, GHG accounting) where necessary to assess best pathways and assure programs are grounded in sustainability science

  • Communications and Engagement:

    • Create communications materials and presentations that help to communicate and amplify efforts with internal and external audiences

    • Support internal stakeholders to drive effective collaboration with third party partners i.e. vendors, sponsors, non-profits, etc., assuring sustainability is appropriately integrated into partner engagements and that opportunities are properly vetted and prioritized

  • Design, deliver, and help incubate a range of sustainability related programs and services in partnership with internal and external stakeholders including global Live Nation venues, festivals, touring teams and industry partners that help deliver against sustainability priorities including emissions, energy, waste, public engagement and more
  • Conduct research and track global trends as it relates to sustainability and live entertainment/events; Prepare briefing reports/technical guides to assure clear understanding of relevant sustainability issues including any trade-offs to help inform decision making and effective program development and management

    • Work with business stakeholders to identify gaps and create solutions that are replicable and scalable and aligned with sustainability and business goals; Evaluate efficacy of current sustainability programs considering cost effectiveness, feasibility, ease of integration; make recommendations and implement improvements as necessary

  • Create communications materials and presentations that help to communicate and amplify efforts with internal and external audiences

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical/sustainability jargon for broader audiences
  • Technical experience with greenhouse gas accounting , EEIO models/analysis, and/or life cycle assessments strongly preferred
  • A degree in Business, Sustainability/Environmental Science, Marketing/Communications, or related technical field
  • Flexibility and ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and succeed in a fast-paced organization
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in an international environment including across Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, consulting, project management and/or implementing sustainability programs, ideally in a large, matrixed organization
  • COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions.
  • Familiarity with sustainability solutions across a range of priority topics including: energy, transportation, waste/circular economy, materials management, and sustainability communications
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong project management skills; PMP desirable
