Sustainability Data & Systems Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Sustainability Strategy for Consumer Products, Games & Publishing, the Sustainability Data & Systems Analyst will develop and deploy key processes, systems, and tools to measure and report progress towards our product, packaging, materials, manufacturing and Green House Gas sustainability goals. You’ll work on the essential processes, systems, and tools that will equip The Walt Disney Company to unlock its next wave of short-term and long-term growth in products, while delivering against our sustainability goals.

You Will

On any given day, as a Sustainability Data & Systems Analyst you might:

• Serve as day-to-day partner for sustainability KPI measurement, questions, or concerns across CPGP.
• Provide line-of-sight to Senior Manager on daily business issues.
• Contribute to a culture that champions collaboration, creativity, and innovation while driving accountability to results.
• Develop and deploy strategies to measure progress towards our sustainability goals.
• Work with multi-functional project teams to deliver new business initiatives and/or evolve existing strategies.
• Build and cultivate collaborative partnerships across functions and departments within Disney Parks, Experiences and Products to identify business issues, risks, prioritize solutions, drive alignment & implement changes on behalf of CPGP.
• Develop processes, systems and analysis to estimate the cost impacts of sustainability goals achievement, and to score products on sustainability metrics.
• Provide Technical Leadership by extracting data for analysis, seek out answers related to business problem and look for opportunities to automate process related to our sustainability goals
• Maintain a strong awareness of the global merchandise business, including knowledge of licensed, vertical, and flexible business models.
• Seek and adopt best practices in reporting, visualization and analysis: data integrity, design, analysis, validation, and documentation supporting the vertical business sustainability strategy
• Champion use of data through development of reports and tools for various partners
• Collaborate multi-functionally to unlock areas of intersection / interdependency (“connect the dots”) as it relates to sustainability.
• Build dashboards that visually demonstrate progress towards sustainability goals using tools like Tableau/PowerBI

You Will Have

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful at this job

• Ability to tell the story in data, and simplify complex analytics into recommendations that are easily understood and executable
• Familiarity with working in—or with—large matrixed organizations
• Teammate with track record for building strong working relationships
• Proven analytical and data visualization capabilities such as Tableau, Microstrategy, Power BI, Business Objects
• 3+ years of hands on experience with Business Insight (BI) applications and configuration, advanced data visualizations and BI development with a focus on analysis, design, and development of dashboards, reports, and data pipelines for a significant retail business in a related field
• Ability to balance shifting priorities to manage and deliver complex projects on time
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals and teams (both small and large, technical and non-technical)
